An intimate 12-seater counter dining experience, led by Head Chef James Goodyear. Evelyn’s Table serves an evolving menu built on James’s formative experiences, a love of British produce, and Scandinavian and Japanese techniques all underpinned by his classic French training.

James’ cuisine has been naturally influenced by his passion and kitchen experience, from working at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons (**), Mugaritz (**), Maaemo (***) and Hide Above(*).

Evelyn’s Table has proudly held a MICHELIN star since 2022.

Wine & Sake

At Evelyn’s Table, we keep our wine list short, sharp and dynamic with an ever-evolving selection of wines and sakes to punctuate each dish.

Taking you on an intrepid tour, off the beaten track and highlighting producers that inspire us, work with integrity, and create flavours that riff of those coming from the kitchen.

If you just want to sit back and relax and let us do all the work with matching the perfect pairings, you can. We also offer a number of different menus; wine, sake and ‘Little or None’ low ABV offerings, that can be enjoyed alongside your meal.

We are currently taking reservations until the 31st of May.

If you would like to contact the team to discuss your reservation please email [email protected]

Our reservations are released on the 1st of every month at midday for the following month.

We are open for two sittings daily, Monday through to Saturday, at 6pm then again at 8:45pm.

The chef’s counter seats 12 people.

Our menu is currently priced at £135 per person for 5 courses with an optional wine pairing available at £80 per person.

Reservations operate on a pre-payment system of the tasting menu price to confirm your reservation. This amount will be deducted from your bill on the night. Any cancellations can be made 7 days in advance of the reservation to receive a full refund. If you’d like to cancel your reservation or reduce in numbers after this time, we reserve the right to retain payment.

Evelyn’s Table is a very intimate space, there are five chefs, two front of house, a kitchen porter and welcome host. Everything is designed to provide a kitchen-theatre experience for our 12 guests to relish. With this in mind, we ask respectfully for each guest to arrive 15 minutes before their allotted reservation time. Late arrivals may miss courses or in the event of being over 30 minutes late, will be unable to be seated.

We take allergies very seriously and would love to cater for a variety of dietary requirements. However, as we are a small team we can only cater for the following allergies: lupin, sesame and mustard. We are also able to offer vegetarian and pescatarian dietary substitutions. This list may be updated whenever we change our seasonal menu so, please check back regularly for the most recent allergen information. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to reach out to our reservations team.

Pre or post dinner drinks can be enjoyed within either The Mulwray, our first-floor wine bar or in The Blue Posts  public house on the ground floor.
